Lindsey Woolstencroft is a Sport Rehabilitator, Clinical Pilates Educator and former Team GB international ice dancer with over 15 years’ experience teaching Pilates and rehabilitation.

After qualifying as an APPI Level 3 Matwork Instructor (2010), Lindsey completed a BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation at the University of Salford alongside a Postgraduate Certificate as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA). She later went on to qualify as an APPI Level 4 Comprehensive Equipment Instructor (2013) before continuing her professional development with master trainers from APPI, Body Control Pilates, Balanced Body and second-generation Pilates teachers. This combination of academic study, clinical practice and ongoing education has enabled her to blend traditional Pilates principles with modern rehabilitation, movement science and evidence-informed practice.

Throughout her career, Lindsey has worked with an exceptionally diverse client base including elite athletes, Premier League footballers, Olympic medallists, professional dancers, people recovering from injury, neurological conditions, antenatal and postnatal clients, and individuals aged from 5 to over 90 years old. This breadth of experience forms the foundation of Equilibrium Pilates Education, ensuring every course is grounded in real clinical practice rather than theory alone.

Alongside running her own successful Pilates studio and physiotherapy clinic, Lindsey has spent many years mentoring and educating healthcare professionals and Pilates instructors. She is a Guest Lecturer at the University of Salford, a Clinical Placement Supervisor for the University of Salford, University of Bolton and Manchester Metropolitan University, and has been a national speaker for BASRaT.

Equilibrium Pilates Education was created to bridge the gap between traditional Pilates teacher training and modern evidence-informed clinical practice. Lindsey’s passion is helping instructors develop not only excellent teaching skills, but also the clinical reasoning, movement analysis and confidence needed to work safely and effectively with a wide range of clients.

Whether you are beginning your Pilates teaching journey or advancing your clinical knowledge, Lindsey is committed to providing education that is practical, research-informed and immediately transferable into real-world teaching.
